Today in Electronic Marketing we are learning to create our own blog in weebly. So far the website seems to be fairly easy to navigate through the page. Our first assignment for the blog page is to discuss the AIDA of a selected webpage of our choice. The webpage that I have chosen to look at for this assignment is teamusa.org.
Attention: The website teamusa.org is a website designed for people to visit and learn about Team USA’s Olympic Team. The site grabs your attention by posting different images and stories about individual Olympic athletes. With the 2012 Games just finishing the websites tops stories features many of the athletes we watched in London and what they are doing a month later. They use the images to draw your attention to each story.
Interest: On the site they keep your attention by posting stories about athletes that are making headlines around the sports world. Not all the stories are about their athletic achievement. Some of the stories show the personal side of the athletes. The website also links to many different pages where you can see videos, images, buy product, and donate to the Olympic Team. The site also has a twitter feed for you to follow members of Team USA and you can see what they are tweeting at this moment.
Desire: The website does create a desire to keep you on their page. With so many different stories and information available on the site people can learn just about anything on their favorite Olympic athlete. The website allows you to read their bios, catch the next upcoming televised event, and read about upcoming Olympics. The stories on the website look to change very frequently which keeps the viewer coming back.
